I will take today some time to ramble about some things that I just want to put down here, so that later (sometime in the future?! if this site still exists till then) when i visit this site, I'll see how much of a weirdo I've been in my early 20's.
Today we have an early May Bank Holiday, so I'm not really in a rush to go to uni. Therefore I'll take some time first to explain and share a bit of what I've learned about Islamic history (after request of course, cause I'm so awesome and requested xD)
What I meant with my other post, is basically that Islam after 1400 years of existing, it sadly couldn't change that much in a lot of Arabs.
The only noticeable difference that I can see from the pre-Islamic-period to this day is that Arabs have actually managed to stop worshiping idols, and instead worshiping one God only. Which is good that they've accomplished this 'much' in 1400 years. Can we get a round of applause for Arabs please?!
You can still see the discrimination towards women and black people for example, I wont say that I know for sure if slavery still exists, BUT especially in Saudi you would find its still popular with clans and pride of clans. I wont say its only Saudi thats diagnosed with this fatal disorder (I've read a bit too much of rants&honey s blogs (adv)).
But I'll keep it about Saudi, since it was there where Islam were born.
Qurayish (tribe of the Prophet Mohammed) is divided into many sub-clans, where the most dominant one were the Banu Ummayah clan, its the clan that fought The Prophet the most in their time. They opposed the idea of equality, just and decency simply because then they would lose their 'status' amongst the other clans, and their business. Another reason why they opposed The Prophet himself more than the religions message itself, is because he were from ANOTHER CLAN, the clan of Banu Hashim.
They saw the power of Islam and had no other way but submitting to it, but I am one of those that believes they are only a bunch of hypocrites. The story doesn't end there though, but its going besides the point I'm trying to make. What I'm saying is, even though Banu Ummayahs clan was 'defeated' then, the idea itself of equality is still not established in those so called 'Islamic' countries. In fact, through all those 1400 years it was never even brought up. Cause if it were, then women wouldn't be oppressed the way they are today in the middle east (I'm not saying the whole middle east, but i would say 90% of the Arabic countries are included). And its not only women whom is dealing with those horrible MADE UP laws of 'sharia', but also minority groups of ethnic backgrounds and minor religious sects. Basically Islam tried to change that "survival to the fittest" ideology that they had in that jungle of Quraysh, but the difference is that now those whom submitted is still "doin' their thaing", only now they are twisting the religion to fit their agenda, and working underneath its wings. So yepp, nothing changed.
But now I've to get going so I'll do another rant about my paranoia when I get back xD.

Ok. So basically you think arabs are hypocritical when they say they follow the truest form of Islam? Since they (your words not mine) are racists which is exactly the opposite of what Islam teaches you? Did I get your point?
SvarSlettBtw.
SvarSlettYes you got it right, basically, what I'm trying to say is, if someone were to follow a religion they shouldnt change and twist and fuck it up, they should just follow it as it is, and also stop saying that all muslims OTHER than their own sect followers are heretics. (pointing towards wahabis!)
My words cant get any clearer *_* I might make another post on some deeper thoughts and history of Wahabism...(If i'll have as little life as I'm hoping, the next couple of weeks).. or i might just post a love rant of everything i appreciate in my life just so i wont sink as low as spending time on something that I do not like. But i like learning about it..AAAAH dilemmaaa!!!!!
ok enough ill go think abou tthis in peace somewhere else..
